a Rally was in Mullaly Park

June 28th, 2020

On this day

, near Yankee Stadium in the West Concourse. The rally was called “Know My Rights” and the focus of it was on minority kids. The rally was an

opportunity for younger kids who might not fully know what is currently going on to learn, ask

questions and relieve any fears they may have of the ongoing situation. According to one of the

parents present marching in protest is only part of the process, they also want their children to

understand the meaning and purpose behind peaceful protest. They did not only want their kids

to march, but wanted them to understand the meaning behind peaceful protest and let them know how important it is to use their voice at such a young age.

Addition to that, taking a look at Queens neighborhoods, we also observed few examples that has been going on after George Floyd murder.
